Develop an online Hostel complaint application for the students of IIT Kharagpur. The IIT authorities want to ensure that students have the best accommodation experience in the hostels of IIT Kharagpur. They can register their hostel related problems online from the comfort of their laptop. No more visits to the hostel maintenance office is required.

The application should have the following modules:

1) Home Page: To give a basic introduction of the site. It should display pictures of various hostels(halls) at IIT Kharagpur.

2) Instruction: A page to guide the students on how to register their complaints. As this is the first time we are going online for such purposes.

3) Registration: The students should be able to register their problems in this page. After successful registration, they will be allotted a unique complaint number. The registered student will also receive an Email with the Complaint ID. A desired sample complaint form is displayed here

IT Hostel Complaint Form

To register a complaint the customer has to fill in the required details in the Complaint Form.
1.  Title: Mr/Mrs/Ms.
2.  Name: Enter your full name
3.  Institute Roll No.: Enter your institute roll no..
4.  Hostel Name: Enter the name of your Hostel.
5.  Room No.: Provide your room no.
6.  Contact Number: Provide a mobile or landline number.
7.  Email ID: Enter your Email ID for receiving your complaint ID and other communication.
8.  Service: Select the required service from the choices given.This will enable you to view and choose from various types of complaints.
9.  Complaint Description: You can give us a detailed desription of the complaint if necessary.


4) Complaint Status: The student can check the status of their complaint registered in this page by entering the unique complain ID. In case of wrong complaint ID entered, the students will be notified to re-enter the correct ID. In case of correct ID entered, the registration details along with the complaint status will be displayed over the screen.
The complaint status will be updated from the administrator’s site as per actual pogress.
